Sachin Tendulkar to play 200th Test at Wankhede

WMumbai: Wankhede stadium has been finalized as the venue for Sachin Tendulkar’s final Test against the West Indies. The game, the second in the series, is set to be played between November 14-18.

The fixture would see the batting ace walking onto the cricket field with the Indian emblem on his chest, for the last time ever.

India and West Indies will play the first Test at the Eden Gardens from November 6-10. The visitors will be arriving in India on October 28.

Tendulkar, who made his Test debut in 1989, had announced his retirement on October 10.

"All my life, I have had a dream of playing cricket for India. I have been living this dream every day for the last 24 years. It’s hard for me to imagine a life without playing cricket because it’s all I have ever done since I was 11 years old. It’s been a huge honour to have represented my country and played all over the world. I look forward to playing my 200th Test Match on home soil, as I call it a day," he was quoted as saying in a BCCI press release.

40-year Tendulkar, has scored 15387 runs from 198 Tests, at an average of 53.86, with with 51 centuries.
